Getting around Hope on a wedding day
Hope is a village of eighteenth-century stone buildings two minutes off I-80 at exit 12, which makes it the easiest Warren County wedding address for guests coming from the east. The Inn at Millrace Pond sits at the center of it, with the gristmill, the pond and the stone walls all within a few steps of each other.
Everything is walkable, which is the point. Mauricio plans the day so the couple never gets in a car: getting ready at the inn, the ceremony by the pond, portraits along the mill race and the stone lanes, the reception inside.

Light and places in Hope
The village sits low by the pond, and the ridges around it take the direct sun a little early. The pond throws soft light back up in the last hour and the stone glows; Jackie and Chris’s portraits by the mill race are the proof. In fall the maples over the pond turn in the middle of October.

A Warren County photographer, about thirty minutes west
Mauricio lives in Sparta and has photographed 750+ weddings in 14 years, most of them within an hour of Hope. He knows the Warren County coordinators, florists and DJs by name, and he plans every timeline around the real light on the ground rather than a number in an app.
Engagement sessions around Hope go to the stone lanes of Hope village, the Jenny Jump State Forest overlook and the Delaware Water Gap twenty minutes west.

From a Google review
“Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning! Mauricio has such an eye for capturing those special moments. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was so professional throughout the entire process.”
