Hi, I’m Mauricio.
I’ve photographed 750+ weddings across New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania in 14 years, and I shoot every one of them myself. Hariel Xavier Photography is my studio. When you book it, I’m the person holding the camera on your wedding day.

My approach
How I photograph a wedding
I photograph the day as it actually happens: the nervous laugh before the aisle, the tears during the toast, the quiet look between you two when no one is watching. Then I add a short set of guided portraits. After 750+ weddings, I know where to stand before the moment arrives.

The person behind the lens
A few things about me
I tear up at weddings, at a father’s first look or a first dance. Feeling it is how I know where the next picture is.
I carry an emergency kit with a sewing kit and stain remover. Loose buttons and spills on white dresses happen more often than you’d think.
After this many weddings I can usually tell when a moment is coming, so I’m already in place when it happens.
