Getting around Randolph on a wedding day
Randolph runs along Route 10 between Dover and Morristown, and The Meadow Wood sits just off it on a hill above the road. The estate has its own grounds for the whole day, so the only transfer most couples make is from the hotel. Mauricio knows which gazebo angle keeps the road out of frame and where the ballroom light comes from.
From Sparta it is Route 15 to Route 10, about twenty-five minutes; from the east it is I-287 to Route 10 west. Route 10 has jughandles, and the one at the estate catches drivers who are not looking for it.

Light and places in Randolph
The Meadow Wood’s gardens face west, and the manor house catches the last light on its white facade, which is why the evening portraits there look the way they do. The estate is high enough above Route 10 that the horizon is open. In fall the maples around the gazebo turn in the second half of October.

A Morris County photographer, about twenty-five minutes
Mauricio lives in Sparta and has photographed 750+ weddings in 14 years, most of them within an hour of Randolph. He knows the Morris County coordinators, florists and DJs by name, and he plans every timeline around the real light on the ground rather than a number in an app.
Engagement sessions around Randolph go to Hedden Park and its waterfall, the Freedom Park fields and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum fifteen minutes east.
