Getting around Parsippany on a wedding day

Parsippany is where I-80 meets I-287, which makes it the easiest place in the county for guests to reach and the worst place to be at five o’clock on a Friday. Mauricio plans ceremony times and guest arrival around the interchange, and uses Route 46 and Route 202 as the back ways between the hotels and the venues.

The venues couples choose from here are a ring around the township: Knoll Country Club on the Boonton line, The Mansion at Mountain Lakes, Rockaway River in Denville, and the Whippany ballrooms, all ten to fifteen minutes from the Route 10 and Route 46 hotels.

Light and places in Parsippany

The township is flat in the middle and rises to the lakes and hills on its northern edge, where Mountain Lakes and Boonton hold the better portrait spots. Lake Parsippany and the Troy Meadows wetlands give open sky at sunset; the fairways at Knoll stay lit to the last minute.

A Morris County photographer, about thirty minutes down Route 15 and I-80

Mauricio lives in Sparta and has photographed 750+ weddings in 14 years, most of them within an hour of Parsippany. He knows the Morris County coordinators, florists and DJs by name, and he plans every timeline around the real light on the ground rather than a number in an app.

Engagement sessions around Parsippany go to the Mountain Lakes shoreline, the Tourne County Park overlook in Boonton and the Boonton downtown and falls.
