A ceremony at the top of the gondola
Mountain Creek hosts summer and fall weddings on its summit, reached by gondola, with the Vernon Valley and the Kittatinny Ridge laid out behind the ceremony. Receptions are in the lodges at the base.
The gondola sets the schedule: the wedding party rides up first, guests follow, and the ceremony starts when the last car arrives. Mauricio rides ahead and is on the summit before the couple.

The valley is the backdrop
From the summit the view is west across the valley, and the sun sets behind the far ridge. A ceremony timed for that hour has the whole valley lit behind the couple.
Wind and weather up top
It is windier and cooler on the summit than at the base. He plans veils and hair for it and keeps the family photos quick before the wind gets to anyone.
The gondola is a portrait
The ride up, just the two of you in a glass car above the trees, is one of the best frames of the day. He rides the car ahead and photographs the arrival.
Fall turns from the top down
Color arrives on the summit first, in the first half of October, and works down the mountain over two weeks. He times portraits to where the color is on your date.
