Getting around Long Valley on a wedding day

Long Valley is Washington Township’s village in the valley below Schooley’s Mountain, and Black Oak Golf Club sits on the hills above it. The roads in are Route 24 from Chester and Route 517 from Hackettstown, both two lanes and winding. Mauricio pads every transfer and gives the limo the turn at the mill.

Hackettstown has the hotels, ten minutes west over the mountain; Chester is ten minutes east. The village itself, with the old stone mill and the Raritan headwaters, is a two-minute portrait stop.
